Our research team organised a panel discussion at the 2023 MSZT conference:
Reproduction in turbulent times
The aim of the current panel discussion is to explore how reproductive choices have been influenced by uncertainties in turbulent times. There have been several recent events that may have had a significant impact on reproductive decision-making. For example, the Covid-19 pandemic and the subsequent economic downturn may have affected these choices.
In this panel discussion, we want to focus on three issues that can increase uncertainty and make reproductive choices more difficult for some social groups. We will look at how major changes in the Hungarian family policy have affected childbearing, how climate change, one of the biggest challenges of our time, may affect conception rates, and whether the legislation related to adoption by same-sex couples influence the attitudes towards same-sex parenting.
